Debate for Peace

On April 21st, the group had its first follow-up event, volunteering with a kindergarten in south Tel-Aviv, as a way to strengthen the sense of community in a place where it is much needed, as well as empowering the sense of teamwork and self worth.

We picked up about a dozen kindergarten children, brought them to a local playground, and spent 2 hours playing at a playground with the kindergarten students, before having a pizza lunch together and discussing the situation of African refugees and migrant workers in Israel. Those who attended were excited to have been able to get together again and to volunteer, and the group began planning for another meeting pretty much as soon as the day had ended.
